Day 1 Delhi
Arrive on International Flight at airport in New
Delhi, You will be transferred to Hans Plaza for the day before
you board your late evening train THE HANS PLAZA NEW DELHI

Air conditioned 2-Tier (AC 2
sleeper) Air-conditioned coaches with sleeping berths, ample legroom,
individual reading lamps. Berths are two-high along the width of the
coach and along the length of the coach. The cabins within the
carriage are separated from the corridors by curtains. The carriage
windows are double-glazed and tinted for effective air-conditioning.
There is an attendant in the coach who provides you with the
bedspread, blanket and towel for your use. The carriage is locked from
inside during night. There are four washrooms, two on the either end
of the coach, out of which three are Indian style and one western
style. A broad gauge coach can carry 48 passengers in one carriage.
Day 2 Ranikhet
Arrival at Kathgodam & Drive to Ranikhet (5
hours) Stay at the Trishul Lodge for 3 nights

can sit in the verandah or the garden of the Lodge and enjoy the
Himalayan snow-clad peaks or watch birds. The Lodge itself provides
one with excellent birding opportunities. There are also numerous
extremely rewarding walks through the terraced fields into thickly
wooded pine & oak forest.
Location: The Lodge is
located in Majhkhali, Uttaranchal, India. It is just 10 km from
Ranikhet and 5 km from the golf course. Ranikhet, quietly
ensconced amidst pine trees with a charming background of the snow
clad Himalaya, has a breathtaking scenic beauty. Blessed with a
healthy climate, its magnetic charm attracts tourists all the year
round. It is a haven for bird watchers and visitors who wish to spend
their holidays in solitude. Ranikhet is a place which has preserved
its virginity and pristine charm. The sweep of Himalayan range visible
from here is arguably the largest available from any place. It is a
pure heaven 2200m above the sea level, away from the bustling
lifestyle of city life. In Ranikhet, natures beauty overwhelms
with its sheer abundance. Majestic snow peaks glisten in the sun. Wind
whistle through the pine and towering deodar trees, rustling leaves in
their trail. Pathways lead you to a panoramic view of the mighty
Himalayas that spell wonderment. Ranikhet (the Queens Garden). In
yesteryears her highness was so impressed with the sight that she
declared this little town as her own. A small cantonment area
garrisoned with the Kumaon Regimental centre with their history of
Valour Triumphs, Ranikhet is also famous for the Botanical gardens of
Chaubatia and the fruit orchards, the Hariakhan and the Kalika Temple.
Early morning one can sight the pheasants like kaleej along the the
roadside.
Day 3 & 4 Ranikhet

NAINITAL ( Standard grade hotel) A Government approved hotel
Claridges Naini Retreat is located 35 kms from the railway station and
1 km from the downtown area. The hotel has 32 rooms including 7 suites
equipped with telephone, television and a private bathroom with bath
and/or shower or toilet.
The day is at leisure to explore the
area. Nainital is ideal for walks. Nainital is commonly known as
the "Lake City", as it is located around the 'Nayana Tal'.
The city is a beautiful mixture of all the colors of nature. This
mesmerizing example can be seen in the first look of the city itself.
On one hand, the city surrounds the lake, whereas on the other hand it
is surrounded by seven hills known as "Sapta-Shring", which
consist of the following hills- Ayarpata, Deopata, Handi-Bandi, Naina,
Alma, Lariya-Kanta and Sher-Ka-Danda. Nainital used to be the summer
capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh during the British regime and
remained so for many years even after Independence. Snow View is the
most easily accessible hill top at a height of 2270 mts. from the sea
level and at a distance of 2.5 Km from the town. This scenic spot is
accessible through ropeway. This peak is also connected by motorable
road. Snow view offers an incrredible and breath taking picture of the
glittering and shivery snows of Himalyas. Another worthwhile place to
visit is the zoo in Nanital.
Day 6 Pangot
A short drive brings you to Pangot (1 hour)
Stay at the Jungle Lore Birding Lodge for the night.
JUNGLE LORE BIRDING LODGE - PANGO
Jungle Lore Birding Lodge is located at Pangot in the
northwestern forest range of Nainital (Uttaranchal, India) at 15 kms
from Nainital. It is surrounded by thick oak and forest on three sides
this lodge it is a typical Kumaoni hill settlement with about 15
families. The entire drive is through the forested area of Cheena Peak
Range via Snow View Point and Kilbury, the main habitats for excellent
birding.
One can see a variety of Himalayan
species along the way such as lammergeier, Himalayan griffon,
blue-winged minla, spotted & slaty-backed forktail, rufous-bellied
woodpecker, rufous-bellied niltava, khalij pheasant, variety of
thrushes etc. Almost 150 bird species have been recorded at Pangot and
surrounding areas.The numerous perennial & seasonal creeks are
home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna including the leopard,
yellow-throated Himalayan martins, Himalayan palm civet, ghoral,
barking deer, sambhar.
Day 7 Binsar
Drive to Binsar in the morning. (2 hours)
Stay at the Khali Estate for 2 nights
KHALI ESTATE (MOUNTAIN RESORT) -
BINSAR Mountain Resort popularly known as Khali Estate is
located in the Binsar Wild life Sanctuary near Ayarpani village in
Almora district of Uttaranchal. It is situated at an altitude of
2000 meters (6600ft.) above sea level. It is 22 kms by motor road,
north of Almora town. All types of vehicles including buses, cars and
jeeps can easily come right up to the Resort. Binsar
situated in Kumaon range of Himalayas. Once the ancient capital of the
Chand Raj kings who ruled in the 7th and 8th centuries Binsar is an
epitome of solitude, quietness and natural beauty for today's
traveler. Perched on top of Jhandi Dhar hills. Binsar is a notified
forest reserve and bird sanctuary. Binsar also houses a forest reserve
with a rich diversity of flora and fauna with forests of oak and
rhododendron with a large species of flowers and birds along with some
wild animals. The famous temple of Binsar Mahadev is also nearby.
There is no town called Binsar, not even a settlement of huts or
anything, it is just the forest reserve that has been named Binsar.
The placed affords wondeful views of the snowcapped Himalayan ranges,
like the peaks of Nanada Devi, Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul,
Panchchuli and Nanda Kot. The altitude is 2400m.
